On July 9, 2015, the CTTÉI organized a visit to the industrial symbiosis Bécancour industrial and port park. This industrial park designed specifically for large industry has emerged as a place of choice industrial symbiosis since the 1980s, notably through the realization of synergies for residual flows of hydrogen and water vapour.
Through this visit, the participants learned about past, present and potential synergies between companies in the Bécancour industrial and port park. This historical perspective highlighted the stakes related to the implementation of a industrial symbiosis.
