Sorel-Tracy, December 8, 2020 - We are looking for a laboratory technician for a maternity leave replacement starting in February 2021.

Your tasks
- Carry out laboratory manipulations for research and development projects
- Assisting project managers in the preparation of the tests, performing the necessary analyses, documenting the results and participating in their interpretation.
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment; perform calibration, maintenance and repairs as needed; and make known the needs in material resources.
- Ensuring proper storage and disposal of residual materials
- Acting as technical support for research projects
- Collecting samples from clients and conducting sampling tests
- Occasionally supervising student interns in learning situations in the laboratory
Your education and previous experience
- DEC in analytical chemistry, chemical process technology, or other relevant training
- Knowledge of WHMIS and GHS systems and laboratory safety rules
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an R&D laboratory, in industry or in product development
- Mastery of basic computer tools
- Mastery of English

Working conditions
- The position offered is a maternity leave replacement with the possibility of extension thereafter.
- Part-time (28 hours/week) with the possibility of increasing to 35 hours depending on the project.
