CTTÉI Scholarship in Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy

Agreement signed with CUFE

A formal agreement is in the process of being signed between the CTTÉI and the Centre universitaire de formation en environnement (CUFE) of the Université de Sherbrooke.

Through this agreement, the CTTÉI wishes to formalize its current practice of awarding scholarships for tests carried out by Master's students in environmental studies on the theme of industrial ecology and circular economy," says Hélène Gignac, CTTÉI's Executive Director. The proposed agreement will make it possible to reserve at least one scholarship per year for CUFE for an initial period of 5 years. »

First Recipient

Hélène Gignac, Executive Director of the CTTÉI presenting a $3,000 bursary to Marie-Pier Lussier.

During the scholarship and honourable mention award ceremony held on March 29 at the Université de Sherbrooke, a first scholarship was awarded to Ms. Marie-Pier Lussier, a graduate student in Environment.

His work on the communication aspects of the CTTÉI's initiativesindustrial symbiosis, carried out in support of the CLD de Brome-Missisquoi, is directly in line with the objective of the initiative and with the CTTÉI's applied research mandate.

A broader partnership

The agreement also provides for collaboration between the two organizations as part of the environmental management and circular economy pathway offered by CUFE starting in the fall of 2017. Such an association will promote the concrete appropriation of this theme by students by putting them to work on very real business issues.
