Opening of an Innovation and Business Development Advisor position

The CTTÉI is looking for an innovation and business development advisor whose tasks will be to support the Centre in the development of its niches of expertise and the implementation of projects in line with the mandate to support businesses and organizations in a changing economy entrusted by the MESI (Quebec Budget 2016-2017). Candidates must :

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of all funding programs;
  • To be able to draft and submit, in cooperation with the entire team, funding requests and offers of service related to the CTTÉI's niches and the needs expressed by clients;
  • Increase the volume of CTTÉI business, attract new customers and consolidate partnerships and customer relationships;
  • Promote the services and equipment available at the CTTÉI.

As part of his duties, the Innovation and Business Development Advisor will collaborate with the management, project leaders and project managers of the CTTÉI in the preparation of proposals for services and research projects, write grant applications and support CTTÉI clients in the development of their research projects.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Excellent communicator in both French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Mastery of financial arrangements;
  • Possesses a strong sense of innovation, creativity and open-mindedness;
  • Enjoys working in a team.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate university education in engineering (materials, chemical or other) or chemistry;
  • Graduate university training in business administration, marketing or project management;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful business development experience with project management or R&D experience in an appropriate technical field;
  • Network of contacts in any of these sectors: finance, climate change, clean technologies.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Located in Sorel-Tracy, the Innovation and Business Development Advisor is called upon to travel frequently;
  • Full time (35 hours/week);
  • Salary (based on experience and qualifications) and competitive benefits.

EFFECTIVE DATE End
of October 2016. Contract until April 2018, with the possibility of renewal.
