Contributing to the next generation

Every year, the CTTÉI welcomes student researchers from its affiliated Cégep de Sorel-Tracy. The CTTÉI and its state-of-the-art laboratories are conveniently located right across the street from the CEGEP. Young people have the chance to carry out independent projects while benefiting from the mentoring of experienced project managers, laboratory technicians and researchers.

The projects carried out are real-life cases, based on the needs of industry. They stand out for their added ecological value, while calling on precise scientific skills.

Since 2021, three of our student researchers have presented the results of their work at ACFAS international conferences.

Involvement in the community

Example of an internship

Graduating in Natural Sciences from the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy, Victoria Lajoie completed a long internship at the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle (CTTÉI) to complement her studies. With her internship supervisor François Lemoine, project manager, she talks about her experience. Structure and objectives of the internship, choice of research topic, how to reconcile the internship with her studies, learnings that will help her during her university studies: take a look.
