It is in line with the objectives of the Plan for a Green Economy 2030.

It is coordinated by the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle (CTTÉI).

About the functionality and cooperation economy

The functionality and cooperation economy is one of the twelve strategies of the circular economy. It involves selling the use of a good, rather than the good itself. It avoids over-consumption of resources, promotes expertise and the value of services, and combats programmed obsolescence through the production of durable and repairable goods. The benefits are the implementation of new and resilient business models, increased competitiveness of companies, the development and maintenance of local skilled employment and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
