Sorel-Tracy, March 24, 2021 - 13 members of Synergie Québec, the community of practice led by the CTTÉI, have received support from RECYC-QUÉBEC as part of its call for proposals for the transition to the circular economy.
On March 17, 2021, RECYC-QUÉBEC unveiled the results of its Call for Proposals for the Transition to the Circular Economy (APTEC). The government agency awarded $3.3 million in support to territorial and business support organizations.
The objective: to facilitate the deployment of the circular economy on the Quebec territory. And in particular, the initiation and development of industrial and territorial symbioses.
The CTTÉI and the founders of Synergie Québec are very proud to encourage the concrete action of its members. Their efficiency in the field has allowed 13 of them to obtain funding.
" By granting this support, RECYC-QUÉBEC recognizes the quality and impact of the networking activities carried out in the industrial and territorial symbioses that are members of Synergie Québec. Congratulations to the facilitators! "says Jennifer Pinna, Circular Economy Advisor at the CTTÉI and Synergie Québec facilitator.
Synergie Québec members active in the field
The Synergie Québec community of practice includes more than 20 symbiosis and circular economy projects. Founded in 2013, it is led by the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle, affiliated with the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy.
Within each symbiosis, regional facilitators create synergies. The outputs of one company become the inputs of another. The linkages produce economic, environmental and social benefits. They boost the local economy by encouraging innovation, the creation of products and services, businesses and jobs. They also reduce the cost of landfilling residual materials and virgin resources.
